Best dessert in the world

Schwan's vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and chocolate chips.

I ate this every day after school my freshman year of high school, in a bowl much larger than the one pictured. It still is my favorite thing to eat when I go home. Soooooo good!!!!

Catching the bouquet

I have been to a lot of weddings in the last few years, whether they be friends' or families', but not once have I ever caught the bouquet. I don't believe in the old wive's tale that you will be the next to get married if you do, all I want are the flowers!

This last November was my best friends Tara and Jordan's wedding (they married each other, post to come soon on that too) and I actually caught the bouquet! It was so much fun just because the flowers were gorgeous and even smelled good.

Hand wash

I finally decided to wash those few articles of clothing I own that need to be hand washed (the white t-shirts don't really need to be but I didn't want them shrinking on me, so they got hand washed). Here's just a little picture of my lovely bathroom after that whole ordeal; a little maze of sweaters and shirts...

Happy Valentine's Day

You wouldn’t know it just to see it
But I am in love with you
Deeply, madly, contently lost in love with you

You wouldn’t it know it just to hear it
But I am thinking of you
Every day, every night, forever and ever thinking of you

You wouldn’t know it just to say it
But I am smiling for you
Smiling at the rain, smiling at the sun, I smile just for you

You wouldn’t know it just to breathe it
But I am praying for you
Praying for your safety, praying for your love, prayers for you

You wouldn’t know it just to think it
But I am dreaming of you
Dreams of the future, dreams of now, dreams of you

You wouldn’t know it just to feel it
But I am wanting you
Wanting you close to me, never to leave me, wanting only you

You wouldn’t know it just be it
But I am in love with you

Forgive my absence

  • I'm good.
  • Not exactly top notch health wise
  • Didn't do too well on a bio test yesterday, despite the fact that I felt really good during it and swore I knew all the answers, which put me in a bad mood
  • But ran into an old friend from back home that put me in a good mood
  • Plus I got to go to the temple with two of my best friends and watch a bunch of little kids do baptisms for the dead; one little 12 year old boy's first time
  • My roommates and I almost burnt our house down
  • I had to have my roommate reteach me how to unclog a toilet
  • I have had 3 guys in the last 2 weeks tell me they just want to be friends
  • I love all my classes and professors and roommates and ward
  • Am stressed about finding housing for next year
  • Can't wait to go to St George for Presidents' Day weekend
  • Not looking forward to the summer when everyone will be leaving and I'll have no friends
  • Also not looking forward to Fern and Josh maybe moving and me losing my baby Addie
  • Irritated that I don't exercise enough and walking up to campus practically kills me
  • Continue to realize my love for the gospel every day but get frustrated at myself for not being on top of my scripture study or prayers
  • Miss my family terribly
  • and am really sick of the cold weather and having to sleep with socks on

Scrabble anyone?

The faucet back home in AZ has been a bit broken as of late, when you turn the head the entire base moves and it makes it quite difficult and frustrating since it sticks and won't move the entire way.

Anyway, Daddy finally found a way to fix it:

One of my proud moments

Once upon a time I built a bookcase all by myself. Ok almost. I had a friend help, but I knew what I was doing and he said he was proud that I could use a hammer right :)

When I moved into my house I quickly realized that shelf space was limited in my bedroom and I really did not want to put all my books in another room. So I went out to Target and bought a nice, cheap book case. I love it.

And the whole thing is completely full of nothing but books and journals!!!
