Forgive my absence

  • I'm good.
  • Not exactly top notch health wise
  • Didn't do too well on a bio test yesterday, despite the fact that I felt really good during it and swore I knew all the answers, which put me in a bad mood
  • But ran into an old friend from back home that put me in a good mood
  • Plus I got to go to the temple with two of my best friends and watch a bunch of little kids do baptisms for the dead; one little 12 year old boy's first time
  • My roommates and I almost burnt our house down
  • I had to have my roommate reteach me how to unclog a toilet
  • I have had 3 guys in the last 2 weeks tell me they just want to be friends
  • I love all my classes and professors and roommates and ward
  • Am stressed about finding housing for next year
  • Can't wait to go to St George for Presidents' Day weekend
  • Not looking forward to the summer when everyone will be leaving and I'll have no friends
  • Also not looking forward to Fern and Josh maybe moving and me losing my baby Addie
  • Irritated that I don't exercise enough and walking up to campus practically kills me
  • Continue to realize my love for the gospel every day but get frustrated at myself for not being on top of my scripture study or prayers
  • Miss my family terribly
  • and am really sick of the cold weather and having to sleep with socks on

One word about housing--Glenwood. It's a good place for social people. Yes it's not the newest place around, but I enjoyed it. :)

Sorry about the "just friends" thing. That stinks.

I always find something delightful about the temple. It just makes me happy and hopeful. It reminds me as Corrie Ten Boom wrote to "Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to an all-knowing God." I love you.

Most of my days are "good," but being in the trenches of life also makes life hard.
